Raf’s Antics: Bert or Ernie?

What is happening when two boring mother and son duo is in the house?

Since I’m not working, the boy usually spends his whole time after school (or the whole day if it’s a holiday) with me. We eat, nap, play, watch TV. or read books. Sometimes we get very bored while waiting for daddy to come home from work (when he comes home, the boy usually only wants to play with him and not his mamma, because mamma is not good at rough play and play fighting, hahaha…….).

One night, I was arranging the clothes when I found daddy’s year end’s party costume from his office last year. It was one of the Sesame Street cartoon character. Just for fun, we decided to try the costume and this was how it looked on the lil boy:

So, is it Bert or Ernie???

I didn’t even know what cartoon character was it, hahaha……………and I didn’t even remember when was the last time I watched Sesame Street. I thought it was Big Bird (I know, very silly, rite?) but the boy said it was Bert or Ernie (well, he did say one of them, but I forgot because I didn’t even know what’s the difference between them).

The costume looked so big on him but also very cute. We had fun laughing a lot when trying the costume, and we took pictures of each other too. It was a nice costume although very hot inside. I don’t know what the employees were doing with costumes like this, but I guess it must had been a super fun party.

Hi there. I'm from Indonesia but now live quite far away from my home country. I love cooking for my family. I learned how to cook for the first time from my mom and I believe that mom's cooking is always the best, and I do hope that my son will feel the same too even though he grows up so fast. I love Indonesian food as I grew up with it, and I promise to myself that my son, although he doesn't live in Indonesia right now, will always like and enjoy authentic Indonesian food. I make this blog so that my family will always remember our togetherness and happy time that we had, are having, and will have when we eat together and have good memories about a mother's love through her dishes. Hopefully these recipes will help other people to make healthy home cooked dishes for their families.
