Pleasant Stay in Costa Sand Downtown East

Continuing my post about our stay in Costa Sand Resort Downtown East, I must stay it was a very pleasant holiday for us. Being in the middle of the mall everyday, we don’t have to worry at all about the food, entertainment, and kids playground (especially because we had free tickets to Orchid Bowl or Explorer Kid or Wild Wet – we could choose two). It wasn’t a “rush” holiday, we were there to relax and enjoy our days. No itinerary at all, so it was really fun.

It is a resort, not a hotel, with many families around everyday, especially on weekends and school holidays. This is very suitable for families vacation and for groups of friends who want to spend their day together. In some areas, young people eat and drink and laugh until past midnight. It happened under our room too. The started their barbecue party at around 10 pm and finished around 2 pm with a loud of noise. Thankfully, lil boy was too tired and slept well the whole night. I, on the other hand, couldn’t sleep at all until they had finished. But that didn’t bother me at all, I still could play on my iphone or ipad during the night.

Check in time is 2.30 pm and check out time is 10.30 to 11 am. Mc Donald and Subway serve breakfast everyday, while other restaurant start to open at 11 am.

The hotel only provides towels and soap. There is a big fridge inside the room, and also a flask to store hot water. My room has two beds with pull out beds. The facilities are barbecue stands, water dispenser in the hallway, fitness corner, and swimming pools. The swimming pool consist of one big lap pool and 1 small children pool. Although the child’s pool is very small and lil boy can only play on the pool stairs in the adult pool, but he swam everyday and had so much fun in the swimming pool. He usually swam for 2-2,5 hours (mommy had to drag him out of the swimming pool every time).

The swimming pool is facing directly to Wild Wild Wet, and it was very fun to see all the activities and excitement in Wild Wild Wet. We certainly are planning to go there since we still have two free tickets.

The swimming pool was very crowded in the afternoon, it was very hard to move around. But when we went there twice in the morning, it was very quiet….only very few people and children were there. Maybe all of them partied until night and woke up late in the morning.

For us, it was a sleep and eat and play holiday. We tried different restaurants, some good and others just medium. But we weren’t there to complain about the food, so we still enjoyed them all.

And now, just check these photos below:

On our way

On our way to the bus stop. Lil boy didn’t want to take a taxi to Downtown East, and he insisted on bringing the bag by himself

While

While waiting for check in time in the hotel, we “checked in” in the nearest theater in Downtown East and watched Wreck It Ralph. Very good and funny movie, lil boy likes it very much

The good things was, the weather was very nice during our stay. No raining at all! Thank God we didn’t have to use our umbrella while in the resort.

Another plus point: Free Wifi everywhere around the resort and Downtown East Mall.

Hi there. I'm from Indonesia but now live quite far away from my home country. I love cooking for my family. I learned how to cook for the first time from my mom and I believe that mom's cooking is always the best, and I do hope that my son will feel the same too even though he grows up so fast. I love Indonesian food as I grew up with it, and I promise to myself that my son, although he doesn't live in Indonesia right now, will always like and enjoy authentic Indonesian food. I make this blog so that my family will always remember our togetherness and happy time that we had, are having, and will have when we eat together and have good memories about a mother's love through her dishes. Hopefully these recipes will help other people to make healthy home cooked dishes for their families.
