Everyday Is A Miracle

Be happy and enjoy every single bite of it

Visiting Marina Bay Sands

I’ve been to this mall many times, but this was the first time I brought my family along. I always like this mall, since it is very pretty and classy inside, the stores are decorated beautifully, big alley in front of the stores so no matter how crowded it is, we can always find a nice place to walk and do the window shopping. The floor and the roof are antiques, very clean place, and especially I like the small pool and boats in the middle of the mall. Too bad it doesn’t have a children playground, so I never take lil boy to come here. Plus all the stores are branded store (very expensive), and even the food price in the food court is more expensive than other food courts.

But we were here especially for what people say as ” a must see, very recommended, very different, above expectation laser show”. So we wanted to prove it. Since the show would not be started until 8pm, we wondered around the mall and ate lunch and dinner here. Lil boy didn’t seem to enjoy everything since there was no play area, he only liked the pool and the boats, the ice ring, and catching bubbles. He also loved the food here, he was so tired that he ate plenty of food. Whether he was very hungry or the food was too good. But all of us didn’t like China Town Beef Noddle, it was plain and tasteless (for us, but considering the stall was very crowded, I guess people must like the food here).

These are the pictures taken inside the mall that we took while waiting for the rain to stop (so we could go to Gardens By The Bay):

Love the pool and the boats. My mother said the ones we saw in Macau were much better. The boats were nicer, the uniforms were prettier, and  the paddlers were not singing too. And of course, the rowers in Macau were much better looking than here, hahaha…….

After that, we had our lunch here. The place was so crowded that it was so hard to find a place to sit here, even some people ate while standing. So, while waiting for the empty seat, the boy entertain himself by watching children skated in the ice ring

Marina Ice Skating Ring, for children and adult

Even the queue was very long in this burger restaurant

Than, we continued the journey to see the hotel in a glance, and walked down to the bridge that connecting the hotel and Gardens By The Bay

On the way to the bridge. We passed by the casino, the coach terminal, a rock sculpture, and posed on top of the hotel alley

From Garden By The Bay, we walked back to the MBS and went to the Marina Promenade to wait for the Laser Show. To go to the Promenade, just look for this sign in L3:

The sign to the Promenade

The view was marvelous. We could see the river, Singapore River Cruise, Esplanade, Art Science Museums, Office Buildings, etc. Many spots to just sit down, relax, and have your picnics here.

The Promenade in MBS. This is not Promenade MRT Station, and totally different

As it was getting darker, we could see the lights on, and the view was getting even prettier, and the place was getting crowded too of course. While the lil boy was sleeping, we wondered around to take some pictures

And then it was time for the Laser Show. I must say it was awesome and wonderful. I enjoyed the show so much, it was different than other laser show. They had babies, children, adults, runners, and other people in 3D images arose from the light created by the laser, and made impression as if those people walked and run to us. The music was very good too. Two children stood beside me kept saying: “wonderful, awesome, wow……” Too bad I couldn’t take good pictures in the dark with my pocket camera, but here are some pictures that I took. For other pictures please browse in google since many people has already posted this show too.

My not so good pictures

And how was the boy doing? Here he is:

Enjoying catching the bubbles so much than watching the show. During the show, the machine above our head keep blowing bubbles which attracted many children

The water pouring attraction at the Dome. Only happens at night after the Laser Show and when the boat ride is closed

Had our dinner before going home. Hot plate tofu and chicken in sesame oil were very delicious. The ayam penyet (not in the picture) was also good too

Hi there. I'm from Indonesia but now live quite far away from my home country. I love cooking for my family. I learned how to cook for the first time from my mom and I believe that mom's cooking is always the best, and I do hope that my son will feel the same too even though he grows up so fast. I love Indonesian food as I grew up with it, and I promise to myself that my son, although he doesn't live in Indonesia right now, will always like and enjoy authentic Indonesian food. I make this blog so that my family will always remember our togetherness and happy time that we had, are having, and will have when we eat together and have good memories about a mother's love through her dishes. Hopefully these recipes will help other people to make healthy home cooked dishes for their families.
