Woah, it was already our third day in Hongkong. Today we planned to go to Ocean Park, but we woke up very late, so we changed the plan and decided to go to Snoopy World instead. Ocean Park was a big park and very far from our hotel, so we had to go early in the morning.
My mom, daddy, and the little one bought breakfast in Tsuen Wan Street Market which was close to our hotel. The porridge that they bought was delicious and it costed HKD 28 for each portion. After we were full, we started the journey to Snoopy World which was in New Town Plaza.
We took the MTR to Central but alighted in Prince Edward Station. Then we changed to Kowloon Tong Line and took the train toward Lo Wu but we didn’t alight in Lo Wu but in Shatin. By the way, there was one of the biggest Toy’s R Us in Festive Walk Mall in Kowloon Tong, but we didn’t visit this place.
We exited in Shatin Station and walked to Citihall Mall which had direct access to New Town Plaza. Snoopy World would be on the third floor of New Town Plaza. The best part was……………it was free entry to Snoopy World, where we visited Charlie Brown’s house, The Peanuts Gang’s school, their school bus, their town, and plus a big playground with Peanust Gang theme in the middle of the park. It was heaven for little children! Here are the photos:
Well, before we could ride the boat (which was free), we had to spend money inside the mall (the receipt could be exchanged with free boat ride ticket), and we chose to have lunch. There was one restaurant in the upper floor, the food was good but rather expensive. We had 3 rice, a small bowl of fish soup, fried kway teow, and a small plate of vegetables with 3 small pieces of something like fried asparagus, and we paid HKD 200 in total.
We saw Toy’s R Us on the way back from the playground, so asked the lil one to choose one to bring home. I said he would not be allowed to open the package until he got home, and he agreed. He kept his promise and opened the toy in Jakarta
Next stop, we went to level 7 which was the rooftop garden to see the Christmas decoration, and to our surprise………….it was full of snow (well, man made of course, not real…………..but it was so beautiful)
From Newton Plaza, we went to Tsim Sha Tsui to watch the Symphoni of Lights. We just had to take MTR back toward Central and alighted in Tsim Sha Tsui, then followed the directions to the Avenue of Starts. At 8 pm, there would be a light music show from the participated building around the area.
We waited for the show to begin while seeing big boats, small boats, big ships, river cruise ship sailed on the river. It was windy and cold but we just loved the view.
And that was the end of the day, we just needed to take the MTR back to the station near our hotel and we rest and had a nice dinner. But Nope! The lil boy insisted that we rode the double decker buses (again!!!) so we had to walk and wait and change buses until 3 times. Happy for him, exhausted for us! But that happy smile on his face when he rode the double decker buses…………..meant all the world to us. Okay, it was worth the (feet and back) pain than.
